Website design for the painter Mrs. Irene Petropoulou. Mrs. Petropoulou wanted to create a personal website in order to present her artworks in detail.

About the artist

Irene is a graduate of Vacalo School of Arts and Design. She also attended painting courses at the Hellenic American College of Athens as well as at the Theocharakis Visual Arts Foundation.

She worked as an art director in well-known publishing houses and magazines. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Greece and twice in the Salon des Indépendants in Paris.

The blue sky of Athens, the astonishing greek light, the secrets sounds of the sea, and the innumerable shades of the greek countryside, determined Irene’s inner need for artistic expression.

The greek spirit in her heart and the melody of heritage, color and shape her paintings and decode the mystery of everyday objects and the velvet ambiance of her landscapes.

Our goal was to create a minimal website with an emphasis on the presentation and promotion of the painter’s artworks. We used calligraphic typography as well as colors based on the color palettes of the artworks. Individually, following the philosophy of the painter, we added blue elements.
